Give your gift
Spread the joy on your special day by giving the gift of sight to someone in the Pacific. Ask your friends and family to donate to Team Fred in lieu of your gift.

Workshops
Invite your friends over for a lesson in your skill. Maybe you’re a whizz at cake decorating, or art comes naturally; there will be plenty of people who would love a workshop by donation.

Feast for Fred
Invite your friends and family over for a dine by donation meal. What could be better than a tasty meal with great company whilst raising money to restore someone’s sight?

Feeling Sporty
Throughout the year there are dozens of sport events you can join. Whether it's the Auckland Marathon, Cycling Lake Taupo or taking part in an Iron competition, these are brilliant ways to ask for sponsorship.
Individuals can and must help. Look at the problem and do something, don't just sit back.

Ben's coast to coast run
Ben, alongside his race partner Chris, completed the 2024 Kathmandu Coast to Coast multi-sport event, raising $11,300 for the The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ and the Stroke Foundation.Follow their journey -
Stephen Ryder
Stephen has been making jams, marmalades, and chutney using his Grandmother's old copper jam pan for about 20 years. It's a hobby he's kept up since moving into the Warkworth Oaks retirement village where he sells his creations in exchange for donations.Learn more -
Hillary House bake sale
Students from Mt Roskill Grammar's Hillary House hosted a bake sale for their school fundraising event, raising a total of $305. One of our staff also went along to present during their house assembly, helping to educate the next generation of Fred supporters.Learn more -
Ciara & Servcorp
Ciara ran 42 kilometres at the 2022 Auckland Marathon and, thanks to Servcorp's dollar-matching donation, raised $4,362 for The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ.Watch the video -
Kerikeri Woodchoppers
Every Thursday, the Kerikeri Woodchoppers meet to split wood donated by Kerikeri locals. Mostly retired, the group are working for a cause, as the split wood is dried and then sold back to the community as firewood. So far they have $330,000 raised to dateWatch the video -
Hawke’s Bay museum
The incredible Private Museum, owned by Lex and Angela Severinson, have been giving to The Foundation for 25 years, donating over $26,000 through their spectacular ancient weaponry museum experience.Read the story -
