Careers

We need talented people to help us end avoidable blindness and improve eye health in the Pacific.

Help us end avoidable blindness

We’re inspired by the work and life of our founder, Kiwi eye doctor Fred Hollows, and his vision to provide high-quality eye care to everyone who needs it.

We work with communities throughout the Pacific to restore sight and create sustainable change. We train local doctors, nurses and health workers to deliver eye care services in their own communities, and we partner with governments to strengthen local eye care systems. We build and equip clinics, and come up with innovative ways to reach people in need — like our Mobile Eye Clinic in Fiji.

Here in New Zealand we raise vital funds to support the delivery of this work.

Our Values

We are a Fairtrade Organisation

We’re committed to being socially and environmentally responsible in all that we do. This approach affects the way we go about our mission to restore sight in the Pacific. Our Auckland office is also committed to purchasing and promoting fair trade products in our workplace.

By choosing fair trade we’re also supporting Fairtrade ANZ who work in the Pacific region to ensure stable prices, decent working conditions, and the empowerment of farmers and workers. We want to be sure the products we use daily were traded fairly and give back to producer communities.
